Plymouth and Cape Cod

Leaving Boston heading toward Cap Cod we stopped by to see the Plimoth Plantation which is a representation of the Pilgrims village once they landed in America. It was not the most exciting place we visited, but we can say we have been there. We then checked into the resort and got settled for a week on Cape Cod.

 The Pilgrim backyard

The chicken was the most colorful thing we saw

Look its a Pilgrim!

At the resort we were right on the beach and spent time walking and gathering shells and playing in the ocean.

this was a house in the town of Chatham, Massachusetts, the flowers were very bright and colorful
We stopped for lunch in Chattham at the Wild Goose Tavern

We played our usual game of Mexican Train
We didn't have enough deck chairs so Christa found a table to sit on
 The view from the veranda

Christa's mother and aunt Sheryl are trying to kill a fly
Dinner at a Dive! They had the best lobster rolls on the Cape!
This was the view from our table
this is Hyannis, Massachusetts we stopped in for lunch by the docks.
We took time to tour the Cap Cod potato chip factory

Saw this chair and thought it was great!
The cousins crammed into the back of a Chevy Malibu!

Living beside the ocean for a week was great, the views were incredible during the day, but when the  moon came out and the clouds were in the sky the reflections on the water were indescribable. Unfortunately my cameras could not capture this image, but I will carry it in my mind forever.
Cape Cod was a wonderful place to spend a vacation.
