Galveston and NASA

We travelled to Galveston for the weekend and stayed at Jamaica Beach in the camper. Friday night we went to the beach and Greerson had a blast in the waves. Early Saturday morning we hit the beach to look for seashells (6:30am). It was really cool! We were the only ones on the beach. We ate breakfast and then spent the rest of the morning at the shore. That afternoon we travelled over to the Johnson Space Center and met Pack 377 for a campout in Space. Greerson had a great time. We slept near Space Lab and around a robot prototype. Greerson was the only one that truly slept he didnt want to get up the next morning! After breakfast we headed back to Galveston for a Father's Day lunch at Gaido's. We met Christa's family there then we all headed back to the beach for an afternoon of fun in the waves of the Gulf. It was a great weekend and the Honda Pilot was covered in sand inside and out when we got home!

Its Summer Time!!!!

May passed by so quickly it is hard to believe that this is Greerson's last day of school!
May brought several new things to our family. We started off the month with a new niece, Brenna Marie Shultz was born on May 6 in the Woodlands. She is such a good baby, she doesn't cry, but squeeks instead. This is particularly confusing to Mr. Magoo (their boston terrier), he thinks she is a new play toy.
Greerson's class was particularly busy this month. Daryl is the room parent so he had a lot of work to keep up with them. They went to the State History Museum (Bob Bullock Museum) in Austin and Daryl was in charge of six fourth graders, needless to say it was interesting. The next week they went bowling and had pizza in the park. Last Friday was Track day, Christa filled in since Daryl was getting a shot in his knee.
Greerson performed at his first piano recital in May. He was really nervous, but did and excellent job! Memorial Day Weekend was a great opportunity to rediscover the floor of our garage. We deep cleaned and got rid of seven years of accumulation. We also decided to purchase a new camper. We made a quick trip to Buda, Texas to check out a Fleetwood Niagara popup and decided to get it so Daryl made the trip on Tuesday to take care of the paperwork and pick it up. This kept us busy for the rest of the week since we had to completely empty the other camper (some friends bought it from us before we could even get the new one) and then we had to move into the new one. We had a Webelos campout last weekend and tried it out. We really enjoyed it!!!!
It is a lot easier to set up and has a lot of cool features. June brings summer school for Daryl (he is teaching on the internet) and playtime for Greerson.
