Boy Scout Trip to Colorado

Edith Ann eat your heart out! (aka Lily Tomlin)

I think I've seen it all now, they really don'y waste any part of the cow!

Greerson and Daryl and their friends the Howards set off for Boy Scout Camp. Ben the Scout Masters son came along for the ride also. Daryl drove the Tundra pulling the camper and the Howards drove their new Ford F150 with their camper. We look like twins going down the road. Both trucks are silver and the campers are close to identical in appearance (one is shorter than the other). We drove to Amarillo without any complications. After we checked into the kampground and got settled we headed to the Big Texasn Steakhouse. The boys were amazed at a man from Australia who was attempting to eat the big steak. He didn't quite make it, but it was sure entertaining to watch. After eating everything they offered we headed for bed. There were five hundred trains during the night that all sounded their horns!!!!! The next morning we headed to the Cadillac ranch after breakfast. It was busier than last time we were there. After we painted a couple of cars we packed up and headed for Limon, Colorado. We hit a pretty heavy rain storm between Amarillo and Dumas, but after that the weather was fine. We are sitting in the camper with the windows open in Limon as I write this. It is nice and cool. The boys are watching tv and chilling out after a long day in the truck. We will meet the rest of the Boy Scouts at the Camp tomorrow.

Messina Hoff

Christa's parents took us to Messian Hoff Winery last week to celebrate Christa's birthday. We had really good food and enjoyed visiting with them. Greerson stayed with them at the ranch for a few days. We are preparing for Boy Scout camp in Ward, Colorado. After camp we are headed to South Dakota to check out Mount Rushmore.

We have been busy this summer with Scouts and family. The Worley's all gathered at Daryl's sister's house to celebrate the fourth of July. We all had a great time. Last week was VBS in Egypt. It was really interesting all of the children were put into family groups and then they would travel to the various markets and locations. They would meet with Joesph (the pastor) every evening for an update on his story.
We painted the new Troop trailer for the trip to camp.
Watch for posts during our trip to Colarado and South Dakota.
