LBJ Ranch

This is the Living Room at the LBJ Ranch. Daryl had a private tour in the summer of 2010 and was able to take pictures. Unfortunately all he had was his Iphone so they are not the best photos. It is interesting to note the colorful flowers in these pictures. We just returned from the LBJ ranch this year and it is suffering from a severe drought.
Air Force 1/2 was not in place last year.
The wild flowers are blooming
The Perdenales actually has water in it

This is the Kitchen, it was closed this year, but I had taken a picture of the family wall of pictures last year

Smithville

This 1940s Chrysler Windsor was really cool. Why did they stop putting plaid seats in convertibles?
The Hope Floats house, this was where they filmed the movie "Hope Floats" in Smithville
This house looked like it needed some huge lollipops in the yard
Miss Vickies Emporium was a cool stop in town
This is an awesome shop, they have Blue Bell, Watkins products and jams and jellies and lots of cool toys
Christa, Greerson and Mimi at Miss Vickies Emporium. Greerson got a Dublin Dr. Pepper
Downtown Smithville
On the way home from the Hyatt vacation we stopped by Smithville and checked out some antique shops and went by the "Hope Floats" house. Then stopped by Rosanky and the Automobile museum before heading home.

We spent the weekend at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort near Bastrop with Christa's family. We had a great time hiking through the McKinney Roughs State Park which joins the property along the river paths and playing in the pool and lazy river. We made a run to Cabelas during the heat of the day.
