Easter Egg Hunt

These eggs may be hidden, but they looked like eyes to me
Magoo enjoyed the sunshine

I see the egg, but I can't stand there it's messy! Can you get it for me?

We had a great Easter morning. Starting with the sunrise service, followed by a nap for Marshall, Stephen and Shanda. Grandpa Woody, Christa and the boys went down to the Deer stand to put the walls up before it got to hot. Mimi and Brenna watched a movie and Daryl made the rolls for lunch. About noon everyone assembled and we had the Easter egg hunt. Marshall knew what to do and Brenna was really into it. Greerson and Tyler got into looking for the prize egg hidden under a rock. Tyler eventually found it, but decided to split the money with Greerson. We had a delicious Honey-baked ham with fresh green beans, potato salad and hot rolls for lunch. After the dishes were done It was nap time and movie time. The kids lay down for a nap and the rest of us headed to the theatre for a movie. It was a nice relaxing day.

Easter Sunrise Service

Greerson wasn't very happy about the button up shirt

 Shanda and her Easter basket
The pasture where we had the sunrise service

We got up early and headed for Normangee before 7am (which is a miracle in itself for alot of us). We stood in a pasture by a tank where the owner had mounted three crosses and sang some songs and listened to the pastors from three different churches speak. One pointed out that only the women were up that early to check on Jesus grave. They were cooking breakfast out there, but we decided to head back to the ranch and cook our own. Brenna was ready to check out the eggs! Greerson just wanted to get out of the button-up shirt. It was a beautiful sunrise and a great way to remember the reason we celebrate Easter!

Preparing for the Easter Bunny

Mimi and Brenna are searching for supplies to build a nest for the Easter Bunny

It is a Shultz family tradition to build a nest for the Easter Bunny each year. On Easter morning the Easter Bunny will leave a basket with goodies for you in the nest you Brenna really got into building the nest much more than the boys ever did, but even at 17 years old Tyler made a nest!

Easter Saturday at the Ranch

Marshall and Grandpa Woody drove us down to the new Deer Blind

Brenna is checking everything out

Only Mimi would wear white pants and sandles on an adventure into the woods!

Christa is holding on for dear life!
Marshall is ready to go!

We spent a leasurely Saturday afternoon touring the woods. We went down to the new deer blind that the boys and Grandpa Woody are building. Then we headed on back to see if any animals were out. We saw a herd of zebras and a few elk. After that we went along the highway and checked out the new fenceline. Then it was naptime!
