We were fortunate enough to be at the Magic Kingdom for the world premiere of the new Festival of Fantasy parade. I will create a separate post for this parade with more detail. The park was at capacity for the parade and we had staked out a location on top of the train station looking down onto Main Street and the town square. We also had front row seats for the electrical parade later that night. Most of the morning was taken with the Midway High School Band and their performance. We had to get one of the Band student's knees wrapped at first aide. They had a very nice lobby, see the picture above.  We enjoyed the checking out the new Fantasyland. There seem to be a lot of changes in the works for the Magic Kingdom. There were cranes working on the castle when we arrived. The fireworks that night we awesome as usual, but the preshow projected onto the castle was amazing.

Midway Band Marching down Main Street at Disney's Magic Kingdom

We got up early Sunday morning to arrive backstage at the Magic Kingdom to prepare to march down Main Street at 10am. After everything was unloaded and the band warmed up they escorted the chaperones to the park. We entered by the Pirates of the Caribbean. It was exciting to see them marching down Main Street and then again in front of the Castle.

They were having the International Flower and Garden Show. The park was filled with colorful flowers and topiaries of Disney characters. We toured the World and met Donald Duck and Mickey and Goofy.
