June started with a huge surprise. Daryl got a call from the producer of a short Independent film that was shooting in Waco and was asked to play the lead in the film. The call came on Thursday and shooting began on Saturday. The film is a scifi genre about a Doctor who is experimenting with a new drug to cure brain cancer and accidentally kills his wife with the drug. Since her death he has developed a way to give people an illness and then ultimately develops a cure. The title of the film is A Touch of Madness. Daryl had a blast working on the set even though he was busy trying to memorize his lines on a daily basis. After wrapping up the movie he was asked by the producer to be the Art Director on another short film that began shooting immediately after the first film. This film is about a magician and is called The Great Cartoni.
