Memorial Day Campout

We went to LakeWhitney Thousand Trails for Memorial Day weekend. Daryl went Friday morning and set up the camper and put the awning out. It was sprinkling a little bit, but there wasn't any wind so he thought it would be alright. He headed back to Waco and later that afternoon a severe thunderstorm formed right over the campground and ripped the awning off of the camper. To make matters worse Daryl had discovered that the interior lights were not working on the camper so he brought some lamps back that worked for the weekend. We had a great time with Mike and Jessica Gill and their family. It rained Friday and Saturday morning, but cleared up in the afternoon. Sunday afternoon Chris and Sandra Earles and their family joined us and we had a shrimp boil. It was a great way to kick off our summer activities the weekend before school was out.
