May was an incredibly busy month at the Worley house. Daryl got a whim to remodel the back of the house and install new Hardy plank siding during the middle of giving final exams. It was supposed to take a week, but ended up taking a good month. It isn't painted yet, but it is installed. We also had an Andersen door that we had gotten a couple of years ago that needed to be installed. That lead to a new storm door so that Lucky wouldn't tear up the expensive new door. Lucky was totally freaked out during the process. He really came to like his dog house and hiding in the shrubs when the nail guns were firing.
Greerson pulls caulk from the window opening.
Foam was inserted between the bricks and the end of the wall.
We let a lot of flies in through the window opening!
Lucky hiding in the dog house
The trash started to pile up
The new Andersen door waits to be installed
The old door sits waiting for a ride to the dump
Christa checking to make sure the boards are all even
We put Tyvek under all of the siding to seal the house better
A little duct tape really makes the job don't you think? Particularly red and yellow duct tape!
The new door is waiting for interior trim. . . in fact it still is waiting we havn't decided what we want yet.
Greerson checking things out
Christa and Lucky relax after completing the post constuction cleanup
The finished job before the paint.
The new storm door is finally installed.
