The LBJ Library

Greerson's gifted and talented class went on a field trip to Austin to the LBJ Library. He rode with Daryl and another father down to the library and enjoyed a quick tour and then got to play cold war spy. It was of particular interest since Daryl had just discovered that he was related to LBJ while doing genology work. It takes on a different meaning when you are looking for clues about his families past at the library. A most interesting find was a book that Lady Bird had written taken from her journal of their time in the White House. It is a very interesting read and puts everything from her perspective. New this time was a tour of Lady Bird's private office. Since her death a few years ago they have opened it up to the public.

Lyndon Baines Johnson was President of the United States when Daryl was born

The official portrait of Eleanor Roosevelt was interesting since it depicted her in several poses
